History
The M96 was developed in 1996-1999 based on the Eugene Stoner Stoner 63 system. In 2002, a combat variant of the RAV02 appeared, with the ability to fire bursts and equipped with guides such as Picatinny rail . The release of both options was rather limited, however, this design was used by the company when developing the new XCR shooting system.
Description
Automation of the carbine is standard: the removal of powder gases from the bore and locking the barrel by turning the shutter. Trunks are interchangeable (there are options for various lengths). The receiver consists of two halves attached to each other by transverse pins. The fuse- translator firing modes is located on the left above the pistol grip. Impact-resistant plastic is widely used in the construction: butt , pistol grip and forend . The weapon can use standard magazines for the M16 or AK depending on the configuration.
