Title
The scientific name of the genus comes from the ancient-Greek. ὅλος - "whole" and ὀστέον - "bone", that is, "Wholeegis". By name one would expect that the plant is very hard, but it is named on the principle of antiphrase, in contrast to its properties. C. Linnaeus used this word as a specific epithet ( Stellaria holostea - Lanceolate Starlet , or Starlet Starlet ) [2] [3] .
Russian botanical "Kostenets" - a translation of the Latin name.

The inflorescence is apical, umbrella-like from dihaziyev . The flowers are bisexual, five-dimensional.
