Lavrova Island is an island of the Severnaya Zemlya archipelago. Administratively refers to the Taimyr Dolgan-Nenets district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory .

Location
It is located in the Laptev Sea in the eastern part of the archipelago at a distance of 1.5 kilometers east of the northeastern coast of the Bolshevik island near the mouths of the Pyatiuglovka rivers, the Invisible and Beautiful between two small bays - Closed bay to the south and Deryugin bay to the north. Between the island of Lavrov and the island of Bolshevik there are two islands of smaller sizes: Novy - 600 meters and the nameless island - 500 meters.
Description
Lavrov Island is stretched from southwest to northeast and is about 6 kilometers long and up to 1.4 kilometers wide. The shores of the island are gentle, with several narrow long peninsulas-braids. There are no significant hills on the island; its height varies from 6 meters in the eastern part to 10 meters in the western. In the extreme eastern part of the island is a geodetic point .
It is named after Admiral Mikhail Andreevich Lavrov , a polar explorer who took part in the expedition of Fedor Litke in 1821 - 1824 .
