“ Lake of Fire ” is the song of the American alternative rock band Meat Puppets . The song first appeared on their 1983 album Meat Puppets II . The name of the song comes from a quotation from the Revelation of John the Theologian, "And whoever was not written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire" ( Rev. 20:15 ), describing the fate of sinners after the Last Judgment .
