Formed in 2005, included the territory of the Kryuchkovsky rural district.
By the law of the Tver region dated April 17, 2017 No. 24-ЗО [1] , through their unification, the municipalities of Ilyinsky , Kryuchkovsky and Veskinskoye rural settlements were transformed into Veskinskoye rural settlement .

Geographic data
- Total area: 35.1 km².
- Location: southeastern part of the Likhoslavl region .
- Borders:
- in the north - with the Caucasus joint venture
- in the east - with the Kalinin district , Kulitsky joint venture
- in the south - with the Kalinin district , Mednovskoye joint venture
- in the west - with the Vyoska joint venture .
- Borders:
The main river is the Desenka .
The settlement crosses the line Moscow - St. Petersburg October Railway .
