Biography
Fleming graduated in 1805 from the University of Edinburgh. He was the first to discover fossilized fish remains in 1831 in an old red sandstone in the Scottish Fife region . In addition, he was also the author of The Philosophy of Zoology (1822) and A History of British Animals (1828). In addition, he also wrote Insecta. In: Supplement to the fourth, fifth and sixth editions of the Encyclopae-dia Britannica, with preliminary dissertations on the history of the sciences ”(1821).
