Michael Patrick King ( eng. Michael Patrick King ; September 14, 1954 , Scranton , USA ) - American director , screenwriter and producer of television. Known mainly for his work on the TV series " Sex and the City " and his two film extensions, on which King worked as a director. He also worked on other HBO channel projects - the TV series Return , Will and Grace , Sibill and Murphy Brown .

Biography
Michael was born to an Irish Catholic family in Scranton , Pennsylvania . In a family of four, he was the only son. At 20, King dropped out of college. In the 1980s, King moved to New York , participating in a local comic show, writing miniature scripts for performances. He then moved to Los Angeles , where he began writing for the Murphy Brown show - for his work he was awarded several Emmy nominations.
