The flag was originally approved on March 28, 2006 [1] , on March 4, 2010, a new Regulation on the flag of the settlement [2] was adopted, which did not change its image and description.
The flag of the urban settlement of Mytishchi of the Mytishchi municipal district is made according to the rules and corresponding traditions of vexillology and reflects historical, cultural, socio-economic, national and other local traditions.
Description
"The flag of the urban settlement Mytishchi is a rectangular panel with a width-to-length ratio of 2: 3, of blue (4/5 width of the panel) and lower green (1/5 of the width of the panel) horizontal stripes, over which a white aqueduct with four pillars and three arches; under the middle arch over the green edge - yellow rook on the skating rinks with a horse's head on the nose; the width of the blue part above the aqueduct is 1/5 of the width of the cloth. "
Symbolization Justification
The ancient waterway linking the basins of the Yauza and Klyazma rivers passed by the place where the city settlement of Mytishchi is now located. From this place, over the course of 7 kilometers, portage began, when vessels were dragged from one river to another with the help of round logs. In this place there was a collection point of duty (tax) from people and courts. The place where they collected myt was called “mytische”, which was reflected in the name of the city .
On the flag, the fiber is reflected by the boat on the rollers.
Since ancient times, the Mytishchi Territory has been famous for its excellent spring water, which with the help of an aqueduct (the first in Russia water supply system ) was supplied to Moscow , which is reflected in the flag.
The blue color ( azure ) symbolizes peace, the purity of the sky, truth, sublime aspirations and honor.
Green color symbolizes hope, fertility, life, health.
Yellow color ( gold ) - a symbol of the highest value, wealth, strength, strength, generosity, sunlight.
White color ( silver ) is a symbol of simplicity, perfection, nobility, peace, cooperation.
