Biography and Activity
- 1889 - graduated from the course at the medical faculty of Moscow University.
- 1890 - Staff Assistant Prosector of the Department of Pathological Anatomy, Moscow University
- 1895 - defense of the doctoral thesis of a privat-docent in the department of pathological anatomy.
- 1895 - developed a method of preserving pathological anatomical preparations, with preservation of natural coloring (“New method of preparing anatomical preparations with preservation of normal coloring” // Medical Review, 1896, No. 1 and 6) for which he was awarded the Zagorsky Prize.
- 1895 - doctor of medicine.
- 1896 - associate professor of pathological anatomy;
- 1892 - organized in Moscow a pathoanatomical circle, which later developed into a society of pathologists
- 1898–1900 - was on a foreign business trip.
- 1902-1920 - Professor of the Department of Pathological Anatomy at Kharkov University.
- 1920 - one of the initiators and organizers of the Kuban Medical Institute .
- 1920-1925 - Rector of the Kuban Medical Institute .
- 1920 to 1925 - Head of the Department of Pathological Anatomy and Forensic Medicine of the Kuban Medical Institute .
- 1925 - he returned to Kharkov again and occupied the position of director of the Ukrainian Institute of Pathological Anatomy of Ukrnauka founded by him (1925-1930).
- 1926 - initiator and organizer of the Ukrainian Society of Pathologists.
- 1927 - full member of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR.
- 1930 - Head of the Pathology Department of the Ukrainian Institute of Experimental Medicine (Kharkov). From the time of his return to Kharkov he was a member of the Presidium of the Glavnauka of the Ukrainian SSR.
He developed the methods of embalming the body of V. I. Lenin, which were used by V. P. Vorobiev. After the appearance of stains on the face of V. I. Lenin's corpse , he was called to Moscow for additional consultations, after which he managed to remove the spots for several years. [one]
