Northeastern part of the ring road (2004)
Beijing's sixth ring road ( wh. Ex . 六环路 , pinyin : Liu Huan Lu ) is a 130-km toll 4-lane (2 in each direction) ring road surrounding the center of Beijing . One of the ring roads of Beijing . Located 15-20 km from the city center.
Initially, it was called the Second Highway Ring Road , however, it was later decided that the ring roads should be numbered not by the time of status assignment, but by location, starting from the city center, and the road was renamed 6th. Southeast section was commissioned in 2000-2001. After some delays (caused by the difficult conditions of the hilly terrain in the west), the whole road was put into operation on December 20, 2004.
The road was fully completed in 2009, its length was 187.6 km.
