The camera was a restyled modification of the Smena-8M camera in a new building with a central sync contact .
Specifications
- Lens - T-43 4/40 triplet (three lenses in three components), non-replaceable, enlightened . The angle of the field of view of the lens is 55 Β°. Iris diaphragm. There is no thread for the filter .
- The available aperture values ββare from f / 4 to f / 16.
- Shutter - central, zalinsovy, practiced shutter speeds - 1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250 and shutter speed by hand . The cocking of the shutter is not blocked with the rewind of the film.
- The type of photographic material used is type 135 film in cassettes. Frame size - 24 Γ 36 mm.
- The case is plastic ( polystyrene , unlike the bakelite case of previous models), with an opening rear wall. The receiving coil is non-removable. Shooting into an empty cassette is not possible. Frame counter with manual setting of the first frame.
- The viewfinder is optical parallax .
- Only central sync contact .
Advantages and disadvantages compared to the Smena-8M camera
- A more modern look.
- The shutter cocking lever is located in a more protected place from accidental contact, the uninsulated lever is visible in the viewfinder.
- The Smena-35 camera was equipped with a lens cap.
- In "Change-35" a more advanced optical viewfinder is used.
- Instead of a cable sync contact, a central sync contact appeared.
- The shutter release button can be held down for extended shutter speeds.
- The Smena-35 camera has increased light scattering; shooting with a light source in the frame is almost impossible.
- It became impossible to shoot in an empty cassette (without rewinding). Instead, an improved rewind head appeared.
- Instead of a hard case, a soft case appeared.
- There is no depth scale for sharply depicted space on the lens barrel .
- There is no thread under the filter and under the trigger cable .
