Biography
In 1941 he graduated from the North Ossetian Pedagogical Institute . Since August 1941 in the army.
Member of World War II . He was a liaison officer for the headquarters of the 118th tank brigade . He fought on the Western , Bryansk , 1st Baltic and 3rd Belorussian fronts. He finished the war with the rank of captain.
In 1954-1958, M.N. Tsagaraev was chairman of the board of the Union of Writers of North Ossetia,
In 1958-1960 - Minister of Culture of the North Ossetian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In 1960-1963 - editor of the magazine " Mah Doug " ("Our Era").
In 1963-1970, M. N. Tsagaraev again headed the Union of Writers of North Ossetia.
Creativity
In 1947, M. N. Tsagaraev published the first story, “On the Road of Happiness” (in the Russian translation of “The Tale of the Sago Collective Carpenter”, 1952) and the book of military essays “In the West”.
The main theme of the writer's work was the life of the village: the novel “The Shepherd of the Black Mountain” (1961), “Campaign Song” (1965), “When the Stones Awaken” (1970), “Heiress” (1979); The Blind Rain novel (1983).
