Geographical position

The village of Kovshik is located on the left bank of the Tern River, upstream at a distance of 1.5 km is the village of Cherepovka (Burynsky district) , the village of Terny adjoins downstream, on the opposite bank is the village of Ostry Shpil . A drying creek with a dam flows through the village. Nearby are the T-1917 highway and the Terni - Belopolye narrow-gauge railway line.
