Farhad Kurban oglu Khalilov ( Azerb. Xəlilov Fərhad Qurban oğlu , October 26, 1946 , Baku ) is a Soviet and Azerbaijani artist. People's Artist of Azerbaijan ( 2002 ), chairman of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan .

Biography
Farhad Khalilov was born in 1946 in Baku . In 1961 - 1966 he studied at the art school named after Azim Azimzade . Then he continued his education in Moscow at the Stroganov School and in 1969-1975 at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute . Absheron motifs occupy a significant place in the works of Farhad Khalilov - beaches and views of Absheron , as well as settlements of the Absheron Peninsula, such as Nardaran , Buzovna, Zagulba, Mashtaga, Mardakan and others.
In 1987, Farhad Khalilov was elected chairman of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan, he leads this creative union to this day. The artist's works have been exhibited several times in the countries of the former USSR , including the Tretyakov Gallery , and in Europe . In 2006, the people's artist of Azerbaijan, Farhad Khalilov, was awarded the Order of Glory for his merits in the development of Azerbaijani culture.
