History
Japan
The company was established by Sony on May 29, 1998 as Animax Broadcast Japan Inc. ( Japanese. 株式会社 ア ニ マ ッ ク ス ブ ロ ー ド キ ャ ス ト ・ ジ ャ パ ン Kubusiki-gaisha Animakkusu Buro: Dokyasuto Japan ) . The first broadcast took place on June 1 of the same year on the basis of the SKY PerfecTV satellite television platform ! . [1] The network began broadcasting with high definition (HDTV) in October 2009.
