History
The airline was formed in 1975 as a subsidiary of the aviation holding company Aerocondor Group, with 85.15% of the carrier’s property owned by the Aerocondor SGPS group and 14.85% of the financial company Gestair Group. The company has 90 full-time employees.
In May 2008, Aerocondor ceased operations due to its difficult financial situation and accumulated debts to creditors.
Route Network
In 2008, Aerocondor operated regular flights to the following destinations:
- Cascais - Airport Cascais
- Vila Real - Vila Real Airport ,
and seasonal international flights to Agen , Bragança and charter flights between Madeira and the Porto Santo Islands.
Fleet
Since June 2008, Aerocondor has not owned a single aircraft; the former fleet was sold to other carriers to pay off Aerocondor’s debts. The company planned to purchase or rent a Boeing 757 and Boeing 767 aircraft , but in June 2008 it was declared bankrupt.
