Biography and career
Born October 11, 1977 in Rio de Janeiro.
I started playing at 5 years old on a “small” table at my home. In 13 years, he took the 3rd place in the National Cup amateur tournament. Several times became the champion of Brazil. In 2009, he reached the finals of the amateur world championship , but lost to Elfi Burden with a score of 8:10 [2] . In the 2009/10 season, Figueirado played in a series of PIOS tournaments , where he finished 12th. For the 2010/11 season, Igor received a wild card for a performance on the main tour . [4] Thus, Figareido became the first Brazilian in the history of snooker to participate in the "major league" of this game.
The start of his first professional season was quite successful. Igor played well (for his level) in the PTC series, and at the World Open tournament even got into the television round of the tournament. In his TV debut, Figueirado played with dignity, but did not manage to oppose anything to the much more experienced Mark Williams . The first success raised the Brazilian to a place in the seventh top ten of the rating, bringing it closer to the top 64, however , he spent the second half of the season not in the best way, and as a result became only the 80th in the official rating. In the 2011/12 season, Figueirado was completely forced to miss almost all main tournaments due to the lack of sponsorship, with the result that his official rating fell to 99 (last) places by February 2012. However, he still took part in the World Cup team and the Brazilian Masters home tournament.
The highest break of Figueirado in main tournaments is 137 points, although at the pro-am competitions he made a series of 138 points.
