Klaus Kobjell ( German: Klaus Kobjoll ; born 1948 , Bamberg ) is a German restaurateur who owns one of the most successful European conference hotels Schindlerhof in Nuremberg . Business consultant, author of books on marketing issues, increasing sales efficiency and staff motivation.
Biography
Kobjöll was born in 1948 in Bamberg . He graduated from the D.Speiser Hotelfachschule hotel business school in Tegernsee , as well as the Lycée Technique Hôtelier hotel school in Strasbourg .
In 1970, at the age of 22, he founded his first business, the Crêperie Rennaise restaurant in Erlangen . During the 1970s and 1980s, Kobjöll opened several more restaurants, including the French bistro Café des Arts, a jazz cafe with live music called Strohalm, and Prison St. Michel ”in Nuremberg . In 1978, he opened his first small hotel "Landhotel Mörsbergei" in Germany with 19 rooms with a restaurant with 80 seats.
Kobjöll's most successful and best-known project is the Landhotel Schindlerhof, which he opened in 1984 in a place near Nuremberg, which became his twelfth business project and the first company to own it. In the second half of the 1980s, Kobjell expanded and reconstructed this hotel, turning it into an international conference hotel - the Schindlerhof Creative Center. Over the past 20 years, the Schindlerhof Creative Center has received several prestigious awards, including in 1998 the European The European Quality Award for the quality of services provided. The hotel became one of the best enterprises in Europe according to the results of the competition "100 Best Workplaces in Europe" for 2007.
Kobjöll is considered a symbol of successful German private enterprise. He is one of the founders and honorary chairman of the Landidyll Association, which today includes several dozen hotels and restaurants in Germany, Austria and France. Kobjöll is a full member of the Swiss Hotel Association ( Schweizer Hotelier Verein , SHV) and a member of the German Hotel and Restaurant Association (DEHOGA). Kobyoll conducts an ongoing marketing course at the hotel business school of the Swiss Hotel Association.
