Biography
During the first religious war, along with Montgomery participated in the defense of Rouen (1562). In 1568 he joined the Conde army in Arshyak . He defeated the vanguard of the Catholics at Life (1568), fought at Zharnak (1569). Together with the Duke De Pont, he participated in the siege of La Charite (1569), after the capture of which he joined the main army of the Huguenots and fought at La Roche Abeil (1569), Moncontour (1569), Arne-le-Duke (1570).
He was sent to Paris as a delegate complaining from the Huguenots to Charles IX . During Bartholomew’s night, he escaped, hiding in the house of the English ambassador, but after he was captured, put on trial and executed together with Arno de Cavan as a heretic and conspirator.
