New Adventures of Dunno: Again on the Moon
This book is the fifth book about Dunno, and, apparently, a logical continuation of the very famous Soviet children's fairy tale book " Dunno on the Moon " after the fall of the USSR. Nosov’s book ends with a hint that Dunno’s journeys do not stop there, but Nikolai Nosov did not write a sequel, and could not write. As the author of the new book Boris Karlov writes, he "was tired of waiting for the continuation and decided to write it himself."
The book was published in 1999 immediately after the book New Adventures of Dunno: The Island of the Blue Star . Nevertheless, the grandson of the classical writer Igor Petrovich Nosov managed to express concern that the continuations of Dunno were published without his knowledge and permission, and the circulation of the publication was cut from 20 thousand to 10 thousand, but was not canceled.
Nevertheless, the book is a logical continuation of Dunno on the Moon. In the book “Carlosha on the Moon” reprinted 5 years later, the names of the heroes are changed, for example, the enterprising businessman Donut became Pukhlyak there, the moon billionaire Sprouts - Scarab. The plot in its idea is a bit like the cartoon " Dunno on the Moon " - an environmental disaster, but not with the chemical plants of Sprutz, but with tap (drinking) water. But the plot is not limited to this.
The plot of the book
Something wrong is happening on the moon again. The socialist society on the moon built by the Znayka expedition is very shaky. Newly known heroes are the lunar rich, Scuperfield, his pasta factory, the lunar cops with gangster manners. A team of workers building a rocket on the lunar shell maintains their sanity and send signals to Earth asking for help.
At this time, in the Flower (Sand) city, winter. Dunno (Carlos) is finally going to write a letter to Sineglazka, which he was going to write in the first book " The Adventures of Dunno and His Friends ." The New Year's holiday has passed, and the little dwarfs receive the text of the radiogram from the moon, severely damaged by cosmic interference. Unable to correctly interpret the fragments of the message and realizing only that they are being called for help, the dwarves decide to fly to the moon to figure out everything on the spot.
Everything ends happily. But, like the Nosov book, the plot of this book also does not look final.
