Biography
Born on June 18, 1952 in the family of the famous Swedish actress Ingrid Bergman and Italian film director Roberto Rossellini . She has a twin sister, Isotta-Ingrid.
One of her most famous roles is in the David Lynch film Blue Velvet (1986).
In 1979-1983 she was married to the director Martin Scorsese . After a divorce, he married John Wiedemann, in a marriage with whom she gave birth to a daughter, Elettra. Later met with David Lynch , Gary Oldman and Gregory Mosher.
Rossellini often appeared on the covers of the magazines Vogue , Marie Claire , Harper's Bazaar , Vanity Fair . Since 1982, becomes the advertising face of the cosmetics company Lancome . Her daughter Elettra Wiedemann-Rossellini also represents the products of this company. Roberto's son works as a model.
Isabella Rossellini is the author of three books. In 1997, her memoirs, “Some of Me,” were published. In 2002, the second book of the actress “Looking at Me” was published , dedicated to photographs and photographers. In 2006, she published a novel about her father , Remembering Roberto Rossellini .
Among other things, Isabella is an activist in the wildlife conservation movement. She is the author of the mini-series "Seduce me" and "Green porno" , devoted to the characteristics of the reproduction of some species of animals. She is also involved in the training of guide dogs.
