Khor (river)

The Khor is a river in the Russian Far East , in the Lazo Khabarovsk Territory , one of the largest tributaries of the Ussuri River . The length is 453 km, the basin area is 24,700 km² [2] [3] .

It originates on the western slopes of Sikhote-Alin and 10 km below the village of Khor flows into the Ussuri River.

Main tributaries: Matai , Katen , Kafen, Chuken , Cherenai, Chui, Sukpai , Kabuli, Tulomi .

In summer, frequent floods caused by intense prolonged rains.

  • In the Khabarovsk Territory there is the Podhoryonok River, which flows several kilometers south of the Khor River.
  • During the years of great floods, the Khor River spills so badly that its waters connect with the waters of the spilled Kiya River (flows north).
  • A rafting was carried out along the Khor River (discontinued), hence the names of the settlements: the Second Fusion Section , the Third Fusion Section .
