Blindfolded ( lat. Ellobius ) is a genus of rodents of the family of hamsters . In Russia, there are 2 types of a baby blindfly: The common baby blindfly ( Ellobius talpinus ) and the Eastern muffin ( Ellobius tancrei ), outwardly almost indistinguishable. The Eastern, Alai, and Ordinary furflies are typical twin species, morphologically almost similar, but differing karyologically (in the structure of the karyotype).
