The Swinging Blue Jeans ( Rus Swing Blue Jeans [1] ) was a British mercybit group formed in Liverpool , England , in 1960 (initially as Blue Jeans) [2] and remained in history mainly due to the performance of the American hit singer Chena Romero's “ Hippy Hippy Shake ”, followed by (moderate success) the singles “ Good Golly Miss Molly ”, “You're Not Good” and “Don't Make Me Over” (which marked the last appearance of the quartet in the charts in 1966 year) [3] . Despite limited commercial success, The Swinging Blue Jeans, according to Allmusic , was considered one of the strongest Liverpool groups of the “ British invasion ” of the mid-1960s [4] .
