Description
The wasp is 6 to 12 mm long and the front wing is 5.5-8 mm long.
Ecology
These wasps live near the edges of forests. The larvae of their parasites are the larvae of real sawflies . Adult individuals feed on the nectar of the flowers of the common hogweed ( Heracleum sphondylium ).
