Balvi region

Balvi Region ( Latvian: Balvu novads ) is an administrative-territorial unit in the east of Latvia , in the Latgale region. The region consists of 10 volosts and the city of Balva , which is the administrative center of the region. The population on January 1, 2010 amounted to 15 674 people [1] . The area of ​​the region is 1044.5 km² [2] .
