Alish Jamil oglu Lemberansky ( azerb. Əliş Cəmil oğlu Ləmbəranskiy ; 1914 - 1999 ) - Soviet and Azerbaijani statesman, chairman of the executive committee of the Baku Council of People’s Deputies, deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Azerbaijan SSR for construction.

Biography

Born on May 10, 1914 in the village of Lyanbyaran (now in the Barda region , Azerbaijan ) in the family of the famous Azerbaijani surgeon - traumatologist and orthopedist Jamil Lemberansky . He graduated from the oil field faculty of Asia . At 27, Lemberansky was appointed director of an oil refinery. During World War II , he volunteered for war, at the beginning of 1943 he was seriously injured in the battles near Rostov . After being wounded, he returned to Baku , continued to work as a director of an oil refinery.

Since 1959 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Baku Council of People's Deputies. On his initiative, many cultural facilities and residential buildings were built in Baku . Landscaping works were carried out, new gardens and squares were created. Baku Seaside Boulevard has been thoroughly updated and expanded, turned into a marvelous seaside park with flowering ornamental shrubs and fruit trees. Cafe “Pearl” was built on the Boulevard, its own “ Venice ” appeared, along which “gondolas” with children and adults sailed.

Since 1964 - in Moscow , Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Microbiological Industry.

In 1969, G. A. Aliev came to the leadership of the republic and proposed to Lemberansky to take over the management of construction in the republic. His first construction site at this post was the current Heydar Aliyev Palace . On the initiative of Alish Lemberansky, the State Circus , the Baku Seaport Building, the Gulistan Palace , the Green Theater, the Baku Funicular , as well as the Moscow, Azerbaijan, Absheron Hotels and many other facilities were built in Baku .

Since 1970 - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Azerbaijan SSR for Construction; He supervised the construction of important facilities for the republic, including the construction of the Baku plant of domestic air conditioners.

He died on May 1, 1999 . He was buried in Baku on the Alley of Honor in Baku .
