The Slobidka meteorite, weighing initially in "seven pounds", fell on August 10, 1818, into a peasant yard in the village of Slobodka, Yukhnovsky district, Smolensk province, and plunged into the ground at "ten vershki". The meteorite is remarkable for its shape, very similar to the shape of the Doroninsk meteorite, and has the form of an inclined pyramid with a truncated peak.
