Emblem Description
βIn a azure (blue, blue) field over a lowered scarlet (red) ball (disk), thinly bordered with silver, a green extremity, bordered by silver, having in the middle an arched silver hollow, above which there is a short silver point, crowned by three silver connected overturned free rafters (two and one), and burdened with the azure (blue, blue) flame of three languages. "
Justification of Symbols
The upper and lower semicircles of the coat of arms in national Nenets mythology symbolize two circles of life - heavenly and earthly. Heavenly is justice, goodness, memory of ancestors. Earthly personifies human nature. The torch about three tongues of flame reflects the main wealth of the bowels of the Nadym region - gas , as if warming the Nenetsβs dwelling from the inside - a plague crowned with deer horns.
The red color of the upper semicircle is a symbol of the sun, life-affirming strength and beauty. The blue color in the heraldry of the coat of arms symbolizes honor, glory, truth and virtue; green - rich Siberian nature and health. Silver in heraldry is a symbol of simplicity, perfection, wisdom, nobility and peace.
The authors of the coat of arms of the district (city): Anatoly Ostretsov (idea of ββthe coat of arms, Nadym); Konstantin Mochenov (finalization of the coat of arms, Khimki); Robert Malanichev (artist, Moscow).
The coat of arms was approved by Decision No. 40 of the Meeting of Representatives of the Municipal Formation βCity of Nadym and Nadym Districtβ dated December 26, 1998 and entered in the State Heraldry Register of the Russian Federation - No. 429.
