Biography
Born September 15 (28), 1912 in the village of 1st Tuleyken (now Kara-Suu district, Osh region of Kyrgyzstan).
He studied at the Moscow Isotechnical College in memory of 1905 ( 1935 - 1938 ) with N.P. Krymov.
Member of World War II . Since December 1942, he fought on the Southwestern Front as deputy commander of a machine gun company in the political unit of the 2nd separate infantry battalion of the 94th separate infantry brigade . Participated in the Battle of Stalingrad . January 6, 1943 was wounded.
In 1940 - 1941 , 1944 - 1951 and 1952 - 1977 he was chairman of the Union of Artists of Kyrgyzstan. Since 1977, he directed the creative workshop of painting of the Academy of Arts of the USSR in Frunze .
Author of poetic landscapes full of epic calm “The Collective Farm Yard” ( 1946 , Kyrgyz Museum of Fine Arts, Frunze), “Noon on Issyk-Kul” ( 1954 , Tretyakov Gallery), “Andijan Neighborhoods” ( 1967 , Kyrgyz Museum of Fine Arts, Frunze) , a number of portraits, genre paintings and monumental paintings.
He died on December 16, 1984. He was buried in Bishkek.
Awards and titles
- By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of September 27, 1982, for great achievements in the development of Soviet fine art and in connection with the seventieth birthday, the national artist of the USSR Gapar Aitiev was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle."
