The Auce Territory ( Latvian Auces novads ) is an administrative-territorial unit in the south of Latvia , in the Zemgale region. The region consists of six townships and the town of Auce , which is the administrative center of the region. The population on January 1, 2010 was 8698 people [1] . The area of the region is 517.8 km² [2] .

The region was formed on July 1, 2009 from part of the abolished Dobele region .

On January 1, 2010, the population was 8698 people [1] (January 8, 2009 - 8772 [3] ).
