Description

"A rectangular panel with a 2: 3 ratio of width to length, consisting of two equal horizontal stripes: red and green, with the coat of arms of the urban settlement - white scrolls extending from the upper and lower edges and threaded through the stylized yellow shuttles."

Justification of Symbols

The flag was developed on the basis of the coat of arms of the Oktyabrsky city settlement, which in the language of heraldic symbols in the form of two rolls of fabric and shuttles shows the main and oldest enterprise of the city settlement - the factory named after the October Revolution. Around the factory was the formation and development of the village of October. And it was the factory that gave its name to the village, as indicated by the red color on the flag.

In the middle of the XVII century, in the territory where the modern settlement of Oktyabrsky is located, there was the village of Semenovskoye, which is officially mentioned in the archival document - "The lands of the Moscow province of the Moscow and Nikitinsky district of the XVIII century." The development of the village of Semѐnovskoye was facilitated by its advantageous location - not far from the Kolomenskoye tract and the Big Kasimovskaya road.

In 1712, on the left bank of the Pekhorka River, during the time of Peter I , an arms factory was built. In the 1740-1750s, the arms factory was converted into a cloth factory in order to produce cloth for the army. At the end of the 19th century, the cloth factory was bought by the Gorkinsky Manufactory Partnership, the Shurygin merchant’s house. Residents of the village of Semenovskoye also worked at the factory, which was renamed the village of Balyatino in the 1890s. In 1912, new workshops were opened, equipped with 722 English automatic machines. It was the first factory in Russia with the latest technological equipment.

The development of the cloth factory contributed to active housing construction in the village of Balyatino. Several multi-story and one-story residential buildings were built, as well as a two-story bathhouse, where a hospital for workers was later opened.

In September 1917, the Shurygin sold the factory to gold miner Stakheyev. After the October Revolution, the village of Balyatino was renamed Oktyabrsky, the factory was nationalized, in 1921 it received the name - Factory named after the October Revolution. Around the factory was the further formation and development of the village.

Until 1962, the village of Oktyabrsky was part of the Ramensky district , later it was included in the Lyubertsy district. In 2005, the Oktyabrsky urban settlement of the Lyubertsy municipal district of the Moscow Region was formed.

Red color is a symbol of labor, courage, strength, beauty and celebration.

The inextricable link of the settlement with the surrounding nature reflects the green color. Green color is a symbol of spring, joy, hope, life.

White color ( silver ) is a symbol of purity, perfection, peace and mutual understanding.

Yellow color ( gold ) is a symbol of harvest, wealth, stability, respect and intelligence.
