Biography
Zinaida Yakovlevna was born on October 19, 1921 in Nizhny Novgorod.
After graduating from high school, she entered the Gorky Pedagogical Institute (formerly Nizhny Novgorod). After the first course, she transferred to the Moscow Institute of Philosophy, Literature and History ( IFLI ).
During the war, which interrupted his studies, Z. Ya. Rez served in the Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade for Special Purpose (OMSBON). After the war, Zinaida Yakovlevna moved to Leningrad and graduated from the Pedagogical Institute. M.N. Pokrovsky (merged with the Leningrad State Pedagogical Institute named after A.I. Herzen in the mid-1950s).
All scientific and pedagogical activity Z. Ya. Rez is associated with the Leningrad State Pedagogical Institute. Herzen. In 1954, she defended her PhD, and in 1971, her doctoral dissertation. In the 1970s, she headed the department of methods of teaching literature. Under the leadership of Z. Ya. Rez, the department became the leading one in the country; a close-knit team of talented scientists ( T.V. Chirkovskaya , N.A. Stanchek , M.G. Kachurin , V.G. Maransman , G.A. Shabelskaya , N . V. Timermanis et al.).
The student, his spiritual, emotional development, the changes taking place with him and in him are the basis on which the methodological concept of Z. Ya. Rez and the department led by her was built. It is no coincidence that this period will be called the "methodological thaw." “ Herzen readings ”, daily work with students, graduate students, methodologists who came to the faculty of advanced training, trained thousands of specialists for schools and universities of the country.
The last years of her life Zinaida Yakovlevna spent in Israel. Passed away December 9, 2009.
