Beaver ( Rus. Beaver - beaver ) is a meteorite- chondrite weighing 25,628 grams. Found in the USA in Oklahoma in Beaver County . In honor of the district in which it was found, and got its name.

Also known as the “Prison Meteorite, which served 40 years in prison” [1] ( Eng. Jail House Meteorite for serving 40 years in jail ). He got this name because he served for almost 40 years as a support for the door in the county jail until Jim Westcote discovered him in 1981 . He managed to “buy” a meteorite for a suitable replacement, which was not so easy, since there were no stones in the surrounding area. In the end, he managed to barter a meteorite for a frozen piece of cement [2] .
