People’s Artist of Belarus is an honorary title conferred on prominent Belarusian artists who have distinguished themselves in the development of theater, music and cinema. The honorary title was established by the Decree of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Belarus N 3726-XII of April 13, 1995.

Regulations on the honorary title
The honorary title "People's Artist of Belarus" is awarded no earlier than five years after assigning the honorary title "Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus" or "Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus" to artists, directors, choreographers, conductors, choir masters, musical performers who created highly artistic images, performance , films, dramas, television films, concert, pop, circus programs, musical, television and radio works, which made an outstanding contribution to the national culture and widely publicly recognized.
Badge description for the honorary title
The sign is an equilateral quadrilateral with oval angles inscribed in a circle with a diameter of 26 mm. In its lower part there is a wreath of oak and laurel leaves. The area of the mark has a relief notch in the radial direction. In the center of the sign is a relief image of a sheet with text corresponding to the title. The reverse side of the mark has a smooth surface.
The sign with the aid of an ear and a ring is connected to a block with a width of 20 mm and a height together with an eyelet of 18 mm. The pad is covered in moire ribbon in green. The inscription “Republic of Belarus” is located in the lower part of the pad. The block is unified for three types of signs.
The mark is made of tombac with gold leaf.
