History

The settlement of Kryvyi Rih stands at the Kalitva River, 70 miles from the district village of Kamenskaya. The terrain is flat and sandy. Populated by Ivan Krasnoshchekov. In the years 1819-1822 in the settlement there were 200 yards, residents 644 men and 641 women. According to the description of 1822-1832, there was a wooden church in Kryvyi Rih. Residents of the settlement were engaged in agriculture.

Attractions

The territory of the Rostov region was inhabited in the Neolithic era. People living in ancient campsites and settlements by the rivers were mainly engaged in gathering and fishing ^[2] . The steppe for pastoralists of all time has been a vast pasture for livestock. From those times there were many burial mounds with burials of residents of these places. Mounds and mound groups are under state protection.

Near the territory of the village of Krivorozhye, the Millerovsky district there are several attractions - monuments of archeology. They are protected in accordance with the Federal Law of 25.06.2002 No. 73-FZ "On Objects of Cultural Heritage (Monuments of History and Culture) of the Peoples of the Russian Federation", the Regional Law of 22.10.2004 No. 178-ZS "On Objects of Cultural Heritage (Monuments of History and culture) in the Rostov region, "by Decree of the Head of the Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 02.21.97 N 51 on the adoption of state monuments of history and culture of the Rostov region and measures for their protection, etc.

Kurgan group "Kryvyi Rih III" (15 barrows). Located at a distance of about 1.5 km southwest of the settlement of Krivorozhye.

Barrow group "Krivorozhye Y" (3 barrows). Located at a distance of about 1.0 km east of the settlement of Kryvyi Rih.
Barrow group "Krivorozhye YI" (2 barrows). Located at a distance of about 1.7 km south of the settlement of Kryvyi Rih.
Kurgan group "Kryvorozhye YII" (2 barrows). Located at a distance of about 3.4 km southeast of the settlement of Kryvyi Rih.
Kurgan group "Goose" (3 barrows). Located at a distance of about 5.0 km east of the settlement of Kryvyi Rih ^[3] .
