Geography

Sloboda is located at the confluence of the Lozova River into the Kalitva River, a tributary of the Seversky Donets . The distance to the district center - the city of Millerovo - 33 km in a straight line or 39 km along the roads.

History

Sloboda Dyogtevo by the Lozovaya River was located 100 versts from the district village. In 1763, sergeant Timofei Grekov had a farm called Döchtevsky, it had 95 inhabitants. In 1771, on the Kalitva River, there was a farm Dekhtevsky sergeant and ataman Timothy Grekov. In the years 1819–1822, there were 70 yards and 655 inhabitants in Degtev, among them 313 men and 342 women. According to the statistical description of 1822-1832, in the settlement there was a wooden church, a wooden manor’s house, 195 peasant houses and a water mill. In 1859, there were 57 courtyards and 599 residents in the village of Dyogtevsky, of which 302 were men and 297 women.

After the abolition of serfdom by the army foreman Akim Drummers provided a gift to the rural community of the Degteva settlement, which consisted of 176 audit souls, 1/4 of the allotment. Total provided 154 dessiatinas of land. In the common use of the landowner and the peasants were watering holes and livestock pastures. Until the end of the deceit, the peasants remained with the right to use these lands. They used them before the promulgation of the Provision on a two-day corfu: men from 18 to 55 years old, women from 17 to 50 years old.

Every peasant had to report to a landowner at his request. I had to have two bulls and good agricultural implements with me. Due to debts, the estate was not subject to sale, a mortgage could not be made on it [2] .

Currently, the village lives and develops. In the village there are two secondary schools, 4 libraries, the products are supplied by ZAO Degtevsky Brick Plant. Agricultural enterprises include: CJSC Maryevskoye and LLC Degtevskoye.

Attractions

  • In 2016, in the Degtevsky rural settlement, a pillar and an obelisk were erected in memory of the different generations of border guards on the eve of the Border Guard Day. The facilities were established on the initiative of veterans of the border guards of the village of Degtevo.
  • Archaeological sites: Kurgan group "Degtevo I" of two mounds, located 3.6 km east of Degtevo and Kurgan group of "Degtevo II" of 3 mounds, located 7.5 km east-southeast of the village Degtevo.
