History
The settlement was founded in 1864 . In 1878, it was named the Whites Mail Station ( Whites Mail Station ). In 1910, the INPR ( English ) railway company planned to build a station in the town of Meadows ( English meadows, '' med ], ). However, his representatives prevented this decision, and the railway line was drawn approximately 2.5 km from Meadows via the Whites Meil Station. In connection with this, the White Station was renamed to New Meadows. In the following, in 1911 , New Meadows received the official status of the city. [3] The building of the railway station, built in 1910, is now included in the national register of historic places in the United States . [four]
