History
Bracknell Forest was established on April 1, 1974 as the non-metropolitan area of Bracknell , in the territory of the former urban area of Easthampstead (where the new city of Bracknell was built). In May 1998, he changed the name to modern and received the status of a district.
On April 1, 1998, the Berkshire County Council was abolished, and Bracknell Forest became a unitary administrative unit.
