Reinhart Dozi ( Reinhart Dozi , Dutch. Reinhart Pieter Anne Dozy ; February 21, 1820 , Leiden - April 29, 1883 , ibid. ) - a famous Dutch Orientalist and Islamic scholar.

From a family of French descent who moved to Holland in the 17th century . He was the curator of the collection of oriental manuscripts in Leiden and a professor of history at the University of Leiden (since 1850 ). Foreign Corresponding Member of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences ( 1878 ). [3]
The fame of the expert on Arabic history was given to Dozy by the extensive work Dictionnaire détaillé des noms des vêtements chez les arabes (Amsterdam, 1845 ).
This work was followed by a series of works shedding light on the history of Arabs in North-West Africa and Spain in the Middle Ages:
- "Scriptorum Arabum loci de Abbacidis" (Leiden, 1813-1863);
- “History of the Almohades” (Leiden, 1847, 2nd ed., 1881);
- "Geschichte Afrikas und Spaniens" (Leiden, 1848-1852);
