Career

Club

At the junior level, Aogo played for Bulacher, Karlsruhe and Waldhof . In 2002, he ended up in the youth team of Freiburg , in which he played the first match in the Bundesliga . He played in Freiburg until 2008, spent 94 matches in 3 seasons and scored 11 goals.

In 2008 he moved to Hamburg . On October 26, he made his debut as part of a new club, replacing his match with Hoffenheim . During the 2008/09 season he managed to take a place at the core of the team.

On August 29, 2013, Aogo transferred to Schalke 04 for a one-year lease [2] . On February 9, 2014, it was announced that Schalke bought the Aogo contract from Hamburg, and the footballer signed a contract with the cobalt ones until 2017 with the possibility of extension for another year.

On August 9, 2017, Aogo, as a free agent, transferred to Stuttgart , with which he signed a contract for two years [3] .

International

Dennis has Nigerian roots and could play for the Nigeria national team , which invited the player several times, but in the end the player made a choice in favor of Germany . As part of the youth team of this country, he won the European Championship 2009 .

In 2010, he made his debut with the adult team in a match with Malta . In the same year, Joachim Loew included the player in an expanded application for the 2010 World Cup , and later in the main one. At the World Cup Aogo played one match, for bronze medals with the team of Uruguay .
