Aleksandrovsky uyezd is an administrative unit of the Ekaterinoslav and Alexandrov (Zaporizhzhya) provinces. Center - the city of Aleksandrovsk .

History

Aleksandrovsky Uyezd was formed in 1805 as part of the Ekaterinoslav province. In 1920 it was assigned to the Alexander (from 1921 - Zaporizhzhya) province. In 1922 he was returned to the Yekaterinoslav province.

It was abolished in 1923 .

Population

According to the census of 1897, 271.7 thousand people lived in the county. Including Ukrainians - 82.5%; Russians - 5.7%; Germans - 5.2%; Jews - 5.1%; Belarusians - 1.2% [2] . In the county town of Aleksandrovsk, 18,849 people lived. [3]

Administrative Division

In 1913, there were 30 volosts and 2 Jewish orders in the county: Andreevskaya, Basanskaya, Bolshe-Mikhailovskaya, Belogoryevskaya, Belotserkovskaya, Voznesenskaya, Voskresenskaya, Gavrilovskaya, Grigoryevskaya-Kankrina, Krigoryevskaya-Krivoy Rog, Gulyaypolskaya, Zherebetskaya, Zalivysh, Kamyan Konsko-Razdorskaya, Krasnopolskaya (center - the SchΓΆnfeld colony), Malo-Mikhailovskaya, Mikhailovskaya (Lukasheva), Natalievskaya, Novo-Nikolaevskaya, Pavlovskaya, Petrovskaya (Svistunova), Petrovskaya (Stroganova), Pokrovskaya, Preobrazhenskaya, Turkenovskaya, Uspened Skye, Theodore, Tsar Constantine Parish ; Novozlatopolsky and Priyutinsky Jewish orders [4] .
