Marion studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York (which Agnes Moorhead also studied in the 1920s and Elizabeth Montgomery in the late 1940s). She married the playwright Walter Hackett. Together they founded the Whitehall Theater in the West End . Their theater was designed by Edward Stone. Hackett passed away in 1942 .
