The Runivers project was created for educational purposes, is not commercial, does not contain advertising, and is not intended to derive any benefit from published materials [4] .

Places mainly facsimile books published before 1917, as well as photographs, documents and other historical materials [5] . Intended for all readers in Russian, interested in Russian culture, history and language.

Content

Library

The electronic facsimile historical library is composed of books (more than 1,500, laid out facsimile in good quality), primarily on the history of Russia. Encyclopedias , collections of documents , maps , photographs , works of Russian philosophers, published before the revolution and not reprinted for more than a century, are also represented in large volumes. Many books and periodicals have never before been presented for public access and use.

Sections on selected historical topics are available, as well as a calendar of memorable dates.

The site presents a consolidated military historical encyclopedia [7] [8] . Using the alphabetical catalog , three military encyclopedias are searched . The composite encyclopedia includes:

  • " Military Encyclopedic Lexicon "
  • Encyclopedia of Military and Naval Sciences
  • " Military Encyclopedia of Sytin "
