Nikolai Nikolaevich Pimenov ( May 2, 1927 , village of Cheryomukhovo , Kurgan region, Kurgan district , Ural region (from August 6, 1979 within the city of Kurgan , Kurgan region ) - October 26, 2005 , Kirov ) - Vyatka artist, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation . Member of international, all-Union, republican, zonal art exhibitions. The master’s works are in the Kirov Regional Art Museum. V. M. and A. M. Vasnetsovs , in museums of the Russian province, private collections in Russia and abroad.

Biography
Pimenov Nikolay Nikolaevich, was born on May 2, 1927 in the Kurgan district, the village of Cheryomukhovo , his parents moved here from Vyatka. In 1942 they returned to Kirov , where the artist lived his whole life.
Already at school, Pimenov stood out for his artistic abilities and soon began to attend the open air with a drawing teacher who came from Penza.
From 1942 to 1944 Nikolai Pimenov studied at the railway school.
In 1944, at the age of 17, he was called up for military service. There he undergoes mortar courses at the 44th Rifle Training Regiment. The group was preparing to be sent to the front, but the war against German fascism was drawing to a close. Pimenov is being transferred to the Far East with the new specialty of a high-speed bomber gunner-radio operator. In the war with Japan, he took part as an aircraft repair specialist. However, the future artist did not leave his favorite hobby, he independently studied art, was engaged in drawing in army art studios. He returned home only in 1951.
A natural gift inexorably directed him on the path of fine art. After returning, Pimenov works as a graphic designer. Along with this, he continues to study hard craftsmanship from more experienced Vyatka artists - S. Mezentsev, A. Potekhin. For many years he was a pupil and friend of P.S. Vershigorov . Pimenov often visits the studio at the Art Museum, improving his skills at the Academic Dacha in Reshetniki, which played a huge role in shaping the artist’s creative personality.
Since 1957, N. N. Pimenov has been a regular participant in the first regional and then more significant all-Union and international art exhibitions. In 1971, N. Pimenov was a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR , and in 1978 he became chairman of his Kirov organization.
N. N. Pimenov devoted most of his work to landscape . Each summer, the artist spent in the village, where he created canvases that absorbed all the beauty of the Vyatka north.
N.N. Pimenov was twice elected chairman of the board of the Yurovsky Art Fund. He was a delegate to the V Congress of Artists of the USSR, a member of the commission for painting of the Union of Artists. He was elected a member of the All-Russian zonal exhibitions of the Soviet North zone. He was elected chairman of the board of KOSH.
In 1995, N. N. Pimenov was awarded the honorary title “ Honored Artist of the Russian Federation ”. [1] “The soul invisibly senses the world” - this was the name of the artist’s first solo exhibition, which took place in 2002 in Kirov. And in 2007 the second exhibition “Time Line” takes place. The last exhibition took place when N. N. Pimenov was no longer alive ... The artist died on October 26, 2005 in his house.
The artist’s creative heritage is unusually rich. The master’s works are in the Kirov Regional Art Museum. V. M. and A. M. Vasnetsovs, in museums in the cities of Slobodsky, Lalsk, Beisk, in private collections in Russia and abroad, are carefully stored in a family collection.
The painting of Nikolai Nikolaevich Pimenov, no doubt, can be attributed to the category of art, which embodies the great joy of contemplating the sacrament of being, correlated with the natural world. The artist possesses the magical power of talent, capable of transforming the inconspicuous, ordinary, simple into a beautiful picture of the whole universe.
