Adamstown [1] ( born Adamstown ; irl. Baile Adaim ) - a suburb in Ireland , is located in the county of South Dublin ( Lenster Province). The suburb is located 16 km from the center of Dublin right behind the suburbs of Lucan [2] .

Adamstown is a sleeping area, founded in July 2001 under the South Dublin County Development Project, adopted in 1998. The area is a strategic development zone. The final development plan for the district was adopted in September 2003 [3] . According to the development plan, the suburb will consist of 12 districts with different designs. Currently, work is underway in three areas (Adamstown Castle, The Paddocks, Adamstown Square), more than 10,000 apartments have been built [3] .
Two elementary schools have already been built in the suburbs, a secondary school (launched in 2009). Work is underway on the construction of a library , a sports center and a number of shops (the first was opened in autumn 2009). In Adamstone there are sports clubs for football , martial arts, cycling , golf and other types [4] .
North of the suburbs is the N4 / M4 route, linking Dublin and Sligo. To the south is the Dublin- Kildare railway line [2] . In 2006, the construction of a new railway station in the suburbs of Adamstown was completed, lasting 5 months [5] and opened on April 10, 2007.
