Biography

He graduated from the 1st Moscow Cadet Corps and officer classes of the Mikhailovsky Artillery School ( 1850 ) with honors. Member of the suppression of the Hungarian revolution of 1848 - 1849 .

From June 13, 1848, with the rank of ensign, he served in the 1st Artillery Brigade; at the same time tutor of the Mikhailovsky Artillery School. He taught artillery in the Page Corps ( 1853 ), the school of cadets and ensigns ( 1854 ), the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff (until 1887 ), as well as Tsarevich Nikolai Alexandrovich (since 1859 ), Grand Dukes Alexander and Vladimir Alexandrovich (since 1860) ), Nicholas (since 1861 ) and Eugene (since 1864 ) Maximilianovich Romanovsky, Dukes of Leuchtenberg.

Subsequently - an advisory member of the weapons department of the Artillery Committee of the Main Artillery Directorate. Compiled notes on artillery; repeatedly published in the "Artillery Journal", "Russian Disabled", and "Firefighting."
