Seelenzorn is a German rock band from Darmstadt . The band's style connects electronics with heavy rock and metal guitars and is ranked on the New German Stage (see Neue Deutsche Härte ).

History

Future founders of Seelenzorn, Jens Clemens and Lothar Sewald played their first concert at a 2003 All Saints party at the Multal Quarry Theater . They played a song called Dance in Hell , performed by Tony Antogalidis. At the end of the year, a demo CD was released, which included the first versions of the group's songs. You can also find a version of Was Du Träumst on the disc. In early 2004, Jens Clemens and Lothar Zewald decide to formally found Seelenzorn. Later, Tony Antogalidis joined the group. The first live concert was when several dancers joined the group. In May 2004, the first European EP appeared . In June of that year, the musicians played their first concert as the band Seelenzorn , which was recorded and later published as the live album Tagebuch 49 ° 55'05 "N 08 ° 42'32" E.

In early 2005, the band signed a CD deal with Underground Danse Macabre label from Bruno Kramma ( Das Ich ) . Work on their first Toete Alles album lasted all spring and ended in March 2005 . After trial work, guitarist Eddie was accepted into the group. The album was released in early May and received great acclaim from the music press. Including such music magazines as Orkus , Zillo , Sonic Seducer and Legacy drew attention to him.

Seelenzorn's first overseas performance took place in June 2005 in Ainburg in Belgium. In addition, in July, the group performed in front of several thousand spectators at a festival in Bochum . At the end of the year, work began on their second album, Gnadenloser Zorn . In May 2006, the second web-EP Schwarz und Schwer was released . In October, bassist Peter Teicher appeared in the group.

In April 2007, the second studio album Gnadenloser Zorn was released , and in May both Siska and Nina dancers left the band. The drummer Arndt appeared. In August, guitarist Kai was received. In 2008, the band announced a ten-day tour to Russia with the best CD Toete Deinen Zorn (kill your anger) . In September 2008, Tomen Stauch ( Blind Guardian ) came to the place of the drummer .

In 2010, drummer Michael Müller joined the group.

On July 9, 2015, vocalist and founder of the Jens band died due to heart disease.
