The village is located on the right bank of the river. Volga. Located 10 km from the city of Sengiley. In 1913, it consisted of 155 yards and 740 inhabitants. The wooden Nicholas Church (1885) was not preserved.

Known mineral springs. In the vicinity of the village there are several archaeological sites, the so-called. towns, on the territory of which copper coins are found, shards of red pottery. A monument to those who died during the Great Patriotic War.
