Bryoerythrophyllum caledonicum is a species of moss from the genus Bryoerythrophyllum of the order Pottiales of the class Leafy mosses ( Bryopsida ). Sndemic of Scotland [1] .

It was recognized as a separate species in 1982, was mentioned since 1891 under other names. The largest population grows in Bredalbeyn . Also found on the islands of Skye and Ram . It has a very limited habitat, grows only on wet mountain shales or basalt ledges. It was temporarily classified as a species with a low risk of extinction and is protected by the 1891 Wildlife and Rural Law [2] .
